Call the department and ask for a date when you can expect a decision (if they are nice they will also check your application for you)

When I called they stated that decisions might take till the end of May to come out. Just call them and ask them to check your status. I called and the lady was super nice about this.

I just got a decision on Friday. So there is hope.

No.... Don't let fear and paranoia get the best of you. This is one of those WFT events that happen every few decades.

Someone should make a site, or an extension of this site, that rates a schools admission process and gives a summary of what to expect to applicants. This is a service that applicants pay for and they should know that their application fee is worth it.

I haven't heard anything from Maryland yet. Are other engineering students in the same boat? What is going on? Should I call/email the department?

Not really. There are some good threads on this in the "Freak out Forum". I am waiting on USC as well. I wonder why they would wait so long when people generally accept offers before May.

One would think.... I don't know why some schools drag the process on for people they already know they are going to reject.
