I'll be starting the Chem. PhD program this fall, and I can't wait to move to Chicago! Hopefully I'll make it up late July or early August to go apartment hunting, but right now I'm pretty torn between living in Evanston my first year and the north side of Chicago.

After accepting my admission offer from Northwestern for the Chem PhD program, I decided to defer my enrollment for year--so I'll be starting Fall 2010. I'm excited about my gap year, but I'm jealous of you guys moving to Chicago this summer! I'll have to hit you guys up for tips next summer when I start scrambling for an apartment.

Ok guys...search for the facebook group Fulbrighters in Germany 2009-2010 or go to http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=217493850110. I have shoddy internet access for the time being so it's not very detailed yet!

Would anyone be interested in making a facebook group for German Fulbrighters this year? It might be easier for us to get through all of this paperwork together! : )

I'm finding the same thing maisie112--The cheapest flight for me is US Airways which codeshares with Lufthansa for flights to Germany (I've done a similar thing with them and also Delta before). I'm finding a lot of flights out there for under $700. My favorite site is kayak.com which searches all the major discount sites and airlines for you.

Niedersachsen--which I realized I know very, very little about. I can't really complain since I made the decision to go with the luck of the draw and let them place me anywhere, I just hope I don't end up in BFE! You guys are both lucky since by knowing your state you also know your city...I'm jealous!

I've been guilty of lurking for a while now, but I figured I should finally join the board! I'll be doing a ETA in Germany next year, and I find it funny that I just realized I'm more excited about finding out where I'll be in Germany than I am about graduation in two days.
