Yes! I got accepted to cranbrook yesterday which is exciting to feel wanted. But after my visit today I'm so going to RISD. I had a great visit n lunch with some students. I'm hoping to start looking for housing or checking out Risd housing. I'm so pumped!!! That's great I heard they're hoping for 4-5 people in our year. It's going to be a great experience! Studio spaces are quite big which is nice.

Sweet I am excited! I guess I will be seeing you in a few months.

hey -- i will definitely let you know about my trip up there this week. I sent in my deposit, and i agree about the structure, size and the faculty i've been admiring -- excited to meet. I haven't heard from the other two yet. I hope you figure out what you want and if it's RISD, maybe I will see you there.

JWU and Emoree - What MFA depts. at IUB did you apply for? I am waiting too. I applied for ceramics and was told last Friday I am an "Alternate." I am visiting tomorrow.

Also I declined my Washington University offer 2 weeks ago.

I am hoping to, I'm visiting this week. And I am waiting to hear from Cranbrook and Tyler. I'm debating asking for an extension... but I really like RISD's program and structure. We will see but i'm 80% sure I am.

That's awesome! I would have liked to visit, but I haven't had the time. But Katy showed me pictures and I have researched. I am about 80% sure as well. I really like the program size and structure and the faculty I have met. Good luck with the other schools. Let me know what you decide and what you thought of RISD after you visit! Oh and if you ask for an extension/get one, let me know. I am a officially an alternate for IU, so if I get in I will have a hard decision to make.

Yeah I am. I really like the program and I got a chance to talk with Katy and go to lunch with Larry and past alumni last week at NCECA. I rejected WashU last week and am still waiting to hear back from IU (I am Wait Listed there). What about you?

Rainbows... what program did you apply for? I have not heard a thing yet and I applied for Digital! So far I've heard that Printmaking and Painting have heard back?

I am excited for the exposure in general. I want to see work being made outside of my studio at school/by artists I follow. I am excited for the gallery openings and meeting residency directors and other emerging ceramic artists, etc.

Ah that's awesome! Do you know how many people are in RISD's MFA Ceramics program? And yeah I want to go to RISD, but it is pretty expensive. I hope the financial package they offer me is decent. I will be at NCECA too! I am excited. I have never been.

I was accepted into RISD for ceramics as well. I received a phone call Monday. I thought I read in a previous post that you were waitlisted Monday? So that's great that you heard back so quickly! Well either way, it's pretty exciting. Are you going to NCECA? And what school was your first choice? Do you think you will go to RISD?

So this afternoon I a LOVELY call from RISD, saying I was ACCEPTED... ecstatic. I will find out about funds next week! But first acceptance! It feels really good!

Nice to hear there's still good news for others out there too!
