No, I'm prtty sure that it's for the whole anthro department since a few profs basically decide all of the acceptances for the entire department. I take it you are waiting for bioarch or socio-cultural? Hopefully you'll hear soon! But no news really is good news, I'm just on good terms with the Prof so he wanted to let me know before the official letter went out. I'm an external applicant though so I can't say for sure.

Hey guys, just heard back from U of T. I was accepted for the Msc program anthropology (archaeology) department with funding. My sgs still says "under review" but my supervisor emailed me to let me know that the acceptance list was just circulated and that I'm on it (woo). So if anyone is waiting to hear from them, expect results shortly, if not you are probably waitlisted. And in terms of "decision made" being a good thing, it actually doesn't mean acceptance or rejection it literally just means that they have decided on your application. I've had friends with both acceptances and rejections and their sgs simply said decision made. Anthropology likes to mail decisions but you are likely to get a call or email if it's an acceptance. Still waiting to hear from U Alberta! Good luck everyone

I'm waiting for the Msc, If I was waiting for the Phd I would be pretty worried right now haha as I know that they've sent out acceptances! Even though I know they are likely to come out at the end of march, like you said, it doesn't ease the stress all that much!

I am LOSING my damn mind here. Anyone applying to Anthropology/archaeology programs? I'm waiting to hear from U of T and Alberta. I'm out of the country this month so I'm paranoid that I'll miss a phone call or acceptance/rejection letters in the mail. I know that U of T only sends a snail mail letter if you've been rejected. Urghhhhhh. I'm feeling very nervous even though I know I'm in great standing.

Oh thank god. I'm dying to know about U of T. I'm going for the MSc program and I have rave reviews from my supervisor of choice and good grades BUT U of T is one of those schools where a commitee decides for the entire department so it's a bit random. Fingers crossed. What kind of masters are you going for? Ma, or Msc and in archaeo or sociocultural or physcal anth? Good luck! Calgary also has a great school.
