Thanks!! I too had my suspicions something wasn't right when you (and others) couldn't access the results. Once the second person posted that they had found out, I figured I really hadn't got anything. It was shortly after that my grad chair let me know the mistake. I'm sure glad it was a mistake. And really, winning the award was that much sweeter after the taste of disappointment, so I don't think I'd change how it all happened So thanks for posting and congrats to you too!!

Wow! What a roller-coaster!! As some of you may remember, I was the first to post that I'd received results for the PhD competition and that I was unsuccessful. As it turns out, my grad chair was looking at the wrong list (!) I got a CGS!!! Talk about going from nothing to everything! Thanks everyone for you kind words when I thought I'd been unsuccessful and for making the wait bearable.

Yikes! I just assumed everyone must have the results. I'm not sure whether my grad chair (or possibly department head - who also knew the results) has an inside edge or not. All I was told was: "I do know the SSHRC [PhD] results and I am afraid it is not good news..." I hope you all find out soon!!

Hi All, I have been following this forum for some time now as I - with the rest of you - anxiously awaited SSHRC PhD results. I just wanted to let you all know that I received an email from my Grad Chair yesterday afternoon and she had the SSHRC results. Unfortunately for me, the news was bad. But, I thought you might want to know that your schools must have the results by now. I hope this helps you and that you have better luck than I did!
