  1. I also got rejected by UPenn on the 16th via email to see the website, my GRE are a little low but I was hoping my publications / research / undergrad school would pull me through to the interview. Their interviews are the weekend of the 1st of March, so if you haven't found out yet you will soon if you got in. oh well 3/5 so far. In: Dartmouth phd, drexel phd, case western mtle phd, out: cornell phd, upenn phd, waiting: mit, brown, bu, rpi, case bme, umich
  2. I have not heard anything from Brown yet...
  3. too bad anonymous- doesn't seem like anyone else has heard yet though...I am still gonna hold out hope (as little as it is)!!! I just heard from Dartmouth- Accepted to Ph.D. in Engineering with Biomedical Focus- Fellowship too. whew. accepted: Dartmouth, Case MTLE, Drexel BME waiting: Penn, UMich, MIT, Cornell, Brown, RPI, Case BME, BU
  4. Has anyone heard from UPenn yet? I found this online and was wondering if anyone has an interview...or anything for that matter for the Ph.D. program? 1. All applications will be reviewed between December 15 and January 15. 2. The top tier candidates (approximately top 15% of applications) will be invited for interviews, which will be held in late February and March 2008. 3. Although not all of our invited applicants will be offered fellowships, a high percentage (~ 75%) of these visitors are offered admission to our doctoral program. 4. Only in the rarest cases (most often students living abroad) are students admitted without attending a scheduled visit. 5. So that our applicants who are not admitted can make the most educated decisions possible regarding their graduate careers, we plan to notify the majority of rejected students between January 15, 2004 and March 1, 2005. thanks and good luck!
  5. No- I have not heard yet at least. Last year they let people know from mid February past the April 15th deadline from what I hear... I got in to their MTLE dept last week, but BME is slower there. Good luck!

Got into Drexel University for BME Ph.D. too. My background is in biomed but I am applying to 1/2 MTLE and 1/2 BME with research in bioengineering/ biomaterials. 7. Hey everyone, I just heard from 2 schools, got accepted for Ph.D. programs! CWRU in Materials Eng full Grad Assistant, Drexel U BME post-masters Ph.D. (I do not have a masters?) no word on funding yet for a few more weeks. Just want this to be over so I can plan to move somewhere. My GRE scores were a little low math wise for an engineer but I still got into Ph.D. programs. Q: 650, V:550, W: 6, GPA 3.36. I have a lot of research though and publications/ sports and activities so I think that helped a lot. I applied to half BME and half MTLE programs with research in bioengineering. Good luck to everyone. Yes: Drexel University BME, Case Western MTLE No: None Interview: Dartmouth Waiting: MIT MTLE, UMich MTLE, BU BME, Brown MTLE, Dartmouth ENG, RPI BME, Cornell MTLE, Columbia BME, UPenn Bioeng, Case Western BME
