GRE isn't that bad, takes less than three hours, and it opens up so many doors at US institutions with phenomenal medievalists.

I switch being a Medievalist and a Ancient almost daily. Late Antique Byzantinist so I have a foot in both camps

For the Brown admits, did you go to the ApplyWeb portal? What changed on it?

Not sure, look in previous years to see if there were waves of releases at NYU. My gut unfortunately says maybe not as they don't have the same budgetary constraints that alot of state schools do which force them into two waves.

I'm pretty sure they do things separately so decisions by one don't necessarily have an impact on decisions by the other. Sorry if that doesn't help!
