Well I'm sure there is a good shot at you getting off the wait list for funding! there lit program looks like a great fit for me, but I am still deciding! I was kind of surprised I was offered funding, but i'm very thankful! I hope you get funding in the end, I know without it it would be a very hard decision! Good luck!

Hi does anyone on here go or know anything about UL Lafayette's English Ph.D. program? I have been accepted their with full funding and also to the school where i'm currently finishing up my masters degree. My school is ranked slightly higher according to NRC than ULL, but not much at all. I really like the sound of the program, and I strongly feel that while the faculty at my school are the best of the best the program is going slightly downhill. I'm trying to make this decision pretty quickly, and I know it typically looks better to go to a variety of institutions to show that you can excel in a multitude of environments. I just didn't know if anyone had any advice or information about ULL? Thanks!

I also got accepted but to their literature program, and I was offered funding for four years through teaching. I'm trying to decide between UL Lafayette and where i'm getting my masters. I know it looks best to go other places but ULL is ranked a little lower, not much, than where I currently am. I've got to talk to my professors here, but i'm probably going to go. It looks like a really interesting and great program despite its lower rank--and rankings can change.
