Hi all- I was accepted into this program and since I am finishing my undergrad at St. Joseph's (right down the road) I took a trip to Nova to get a feel for their program.
I was really impressed- Dr. Hicks is helpful, approachable, and very communicative (she actually answers her email! Quickly!) and the more I heard about the program, the more excited I became. They focus a lot of attention on career services for the MA students, since they know not everybody is looking to earn a PhD right away. Dr. Hicks collects the permanent email addresses of all MA grads, and contacts them frequently to come back to Nova and help the current students with career services after graduation. Every student that I spoke with was really happy with the program and had nothing but good things to say about it!
I've been waitlisted for funding too, but Dr. Hicks told me that most MA students complete the program without it. Hope this helps!
