I know what you mean, I applied to 4 programs: rejected by one back in February, still waiting on the other 3. If I'm not accepted this year, I will be applying to 10+ next year. From the university that I was rejected I got the typical response: you're great, but we had better applicants. Thanks for the help guys! Being under review by the POI (since it's an application for a single position) makes sense; looks like I'll just have to wait patiently for a decision!

If anyone can help, I would definitely appreciate it. I checked my application status for a Ph.D. app to Lund University and in the "status" tab is the following: Ärendet hos sakkunnig. My google translator interprets this as: "the case of expert." Can anyone assist with interpreting what this means? Thanks!
