These two universities are not comparable academically. If you have the money you go to NW if not UIC, as simple as that! Off course you knew it already!

You really don't want that funny US News National University Rankings biases you decision making process! According to that Washington University is ranked higher than UC Berkeley, CMU, UCLA, Cornell, Rice and so on!!! Since UCSD is not a well-ranked BSchool, it will hardly secure you a good job upon your graduation. Given that, I would choose USC! -

Congrats! this is great, you nailed it!...it actually depends on your career goals..to be a professor, you'd better stick to your management school offers...to get into industry, engineering sounds better...anyway, based on your options, only UCLA and Berkeley would beat UCSD! one more thing...San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in the whole US! -

Yeah, I guess the other programs are fairly competitive considering the fact that most of them are located in good cities. I know, they send out the first round and then if anyone declined the offer they would go for the second round to fill the spot. -

Just got rejected from Columbia
