  1. These two universities are not comparable academically. If you have the money you go to NW if not UIC, as simple as that! Off course you knew it already!
  2. You really don't want that funny US News National University Rankings biases you decision making process! According to that Washington University is ranked higher than UC Berkeley, CMU, UCLA, Cornell, Rice and so on!!! Since UCSD is not a well-ranked BSchool, it will hardly secure you a good job upon your graduation. Given that, I would choose USC!
  3. Yup, makes perfect sense! I actually did not expect much from Ann Arbor until last month that we got a chance for a visit and I loved that! wish you luck either way!
  4. Thanks, look forward for that! Is there any particular reason that you think Columbia is a better program than UMich? except for the location!
  5. Guys, How is the chance of admission for one who is still on the waiting list?! Is there any hope?
  6. Hi guys, I got waitlisted for Tepper OR program, is here anybody who has got admission and may want to decline the offer?
  7. Wooww..Thank you for sharing this...The only reason I was considering this program was Dr. Morton!
  8. But, guillaume.roels@anderson.ucla.edu is an email for one of the faculty members!
  9. UT Austin or UMich? I would appreciate your wise comments!
  10. Congrats! this is great, you nailed it!...it actually depends on your career goals..to be a professor, you'd better stick to your management school offers...to get into industry, engineering sounds better...anyway, based on your options, only UCLA and Berkeley would beat UCSD! one more thing...San Diego is one of the most beautiful cities in the whole US!
  11. Thanks, it's awesome! Are already at UMich? Do you know anything about their graduate visit weekend?
  12. Yeah, I guess the other programs are fairly competitive considering the fact that most of them are located in good cities. I know, they send out the first round and then if anyone declined the offer they would go for the second round to fill the spot.
  13. Yeah, They admitted 6 PhD students. the weekend visit is Feb 28
  14. Michigan--> invited to graduate visit Northwestern Berkeley Stanford UCLA USC Carnigie Mellon (OR) Tepper School of Business UNC, Chapel Hill (OR and Stat) NYU(Stern)
  15. Yeah I guess my undergrad GPA is kind of a red flag...I don't know, after this rejection there is not much hope left for the others...
  16. Thanks folks, This was my first rejection, I already got into UT Austin, TAMU and NCSU, waiting for the rest! STATS: GRE: Q:166 V:160 AW:4 UNDERGRAD GPA: 3.5 (International) GRAD GPA: 4 (TAMU) Several publications and conference presentations!
