  1. I applied to Harvard SEAS Bioengineering. From what I gather from the results page they send notifications on a rolling basis all the way until the end of February. Just look at the notification history for the schools you applied to on the results page. It's usually pretty clear which ones send out all acceptances at once or stagger them.
  2. Only one of the results entries I could find for BU had a comment about it. It sounds like they inform people on the waitlist in early to mid-april. Unfortunately that would mean you wouldn't be able to visit for their open house/recruitment weekend. Seems like they waitlist more people than any other BME program I've seen. If you don't mind me asking, what time of the day did you get your email from BU?
  3. Same here--within 2 minutes I also got a rejection from Berkeley/SF. I already knew I was out of the running for UCB/SF but the timing was still poor, haha. I think my email check frequency is now approaching 1 check /5min. I wish the BU decisions would trickle out a little more quickly.
  4. Got an email from UMinn this morning asking to schedule a skype interview for jan 22 or 23. I will be interviewing with the prof conducting all interviews for those that indicated cellular/tissue engineering as a top research preference. From the results page it sounds like they accept/reject almost immediately after a skype or phone call and offer recruitment weekends end of march/first week of april. I wouldn't mind a trip to Minnesota in the spring! Groundtruth: you aren't alone in the comp bio/image analysis group!
  5. Thanks! Thank you! Unfortunately I have a rather important presentation to give on the 13th that would make it tough to get to UVa on time. I'll worry about it if I somehow get into MIT, haha.
  6. Finished my UVa phone interview and was told I should have a formal email with an interview invite coming soon. Interview weekends are March 7th-9th and 14th-16th, and was told they usually fly people out so they arrive thursday night in time to get dinner. I will probably be going on the 7th-9th unless I have another interview offer for that weekend!
  7. Obligatory stats post: GRE: 159/164/5.0 (81/89/93)% Domestic/International (TOEFL/IELTS):Domestic UG GPA: 3.60 Overall, 3.61 Major. 8. Jeff, I did not apply to stanford but my friend that has already gotten MIT/UCB-SF interview offers did. I'll let you know if he hears anything. Just heard from UVa this morning--got an email from a professor saying that they were very interested in my application and that they would like to schedule a phone or skype call with me. From what I've heard from previous applicants, this is basically an interview offer. To anyone else in the thread, I am a current undergrad in UW BioE, so let me know if you have any questions about the program or would like insight into any of the professors.
  9. My friend got a UCB/SF interview email this morning (1/15). If they are doing things the same way as in previous years it looks like all their offers will be sent out in the next day or two.
