  1. NICE!!! congrats!! do you know yet where you'll be? I'll be at the university in Louvain-la-Neuve, but Belgium (and Europe, really) is so tiny that we might as well be neighbors! aaaaa! I just sent out a slew of thank you emails to everyone that helped me on my application, but I keep checking to make sure that I read the email from Fulbright correctly!
  2. I just got notified that I got a Fulbright to Belgium! my hands are shaking! I am doing happy dances around the room and smiling like a crazy person! what a relief!
  3. except if it comes by snail mail on Saturday...?!!??!?!!
  4. many, many pages back on this forum, someone mentioned how an email about Fulbright got sent to their Spam inbox. now I am paranoid that I won't ever find out because I'll forget to check there.
  5. Another Belgium applicant! hello! My FPA told me at the end of February that last year's applicants heard back March 5th--neglecting to add that in previous years, they've heard back as late as mid-April... So grateful for having found this forum for the spreadsheet data. Not that knowing I might have to wait a few more weeks makes it any easier...
  6. haha, seriously. I'm doing my thesis on substance use and anxiety, and so my whole project has basically turned into "ME"search...
  7. ugh, seriously! unless they want a bunch of alcoholic grantees on their hands!
  8. hi all, yet another lurker coming out of the woodwork. I applied for a full grant to Belgium. my FPA told me that, last year, applicants to Belgium heard back on March 5. well, three weeks later and I'm still waiting for that email... and getting crazier every day... this wait is absolutely soul-crushing. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one turning to wonderful cheap wine to soothe my nerves! after class every day, my thought process usually goes something like this: "I guess I should work on my thesis now. but I didn't hear back from Fulbright again. fuck it, I'm getting more wine." the irony that my thesis is about substance use problems is not lost on me...
