I got the same wait list email for SHIPS. I have no idea what my chances are of getting in. You heard anything after that?

Hi, I am on the wait list of the Stanford University (SHIPS) Economics of Education PhD for Fall 2013. It seems they have a rather strange system of wait list. Each Professor has a list of students he/she wants to admit and then a wait list. I was wondering if anyone admitted with Professor Sean Reardon was planning on taking some other option they might have. I have written to the School but they say they won't be able to tell before April 15. I have to respond to my Duke offer by April 5. Any leads on this would be a great help since Stanford is my first choice! Thanks!
