  1. Anyone else doing the three year program...? Im leaning heavily towards it now...
  2. For those who have gotten into the 3 year program, are you interested in accepting the offer? or would you be willing to keep yourself pending? Im trying to decide and ive made a pros and cons list. The pros are general and personal, but .. Tell me what you think about these cons as this three year program was not my first choice... but still could be a great opportunity.. 3 year program... only take two classes each semester for: fall/spring/summer/fall/spring/summer/fall/spring Field work is only in the second and third year Would MAYBE have to start paying my loans because Im not a "full" time student Cohort is small... but the rest of the students are older adults that are working and might be uninterested in creating a community.. Area is... not so great to live in... Anyone?
  3. Holy Crap! Wasnt expecting this at all but I got an email offering admission to the 3 year program!
  4. I was admitted to the aging and families. My first choice was children, youth, women and families.
  5. Accepted to CSULA! Unfortunately it was my second choice of concentration... but thats okay!
  6. Hi what are your stats? gpa, volunteer/ work experience?
  7. Has anyone heard anything from CSULA? I think its incredible they still havent gotten back to majority of their applicants when CSULB was rumored to be slower but has gotten back to me..
  8. Yea I applied Feb 12th. I wonder how many of us are put into pending...
  9. Officially on Pending Status. I really want to call the school and ask them how likely someone with pending status is to get in and how its determined which pending students get the first open slots... Anyone know?
  10. Hey MarielMSW! Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you think helped you get in to csulas msw program?
  11. I sent an email to CSULB asking if they could tell me how many people apply and how many people they let it. This was their response: "We generally do not give that type of information out but for the 2-year program model, which was your first choice, we are accepting 100 applicants."
  12. Anyone else hear back? CSULB is accepting only 100 applicants for the fall...
  13. Yes that definitely helps a lot! Do you know if that subject of that email was: CSULB Financial Aid-Additional Information Required ? The email I received was very specific with instructions about • Click on the button at the bottom of the screen that says “Get My Financial Aid Forms” • Follow the prompts on EACH screen to request your forms be sent via email. • Follow these same steps in the event you need to request additional copies in the future. Anyone else get that?
  14. Thanks! Im hoping someone who was put on pending status could reply about whether they were asked to fill finaid info!
  15. Hey everyone! can anyone shed some light on my current CSULB situation? These are the emails ive gotten from CSULB: Jan 15th : Application Acknowledgement Feb 12th: Social Work Department received my application Feb 13th: " Your application will take 8-15 weeks...Thanks. " and thats all the communication Ive gotten from them besides me checking my status like every day on their status website. Today I got an email from Enrollment Services - Financial Aid regarding some paperwork I need to send in. Did anyone else get this email? if you were pending did you receive this email? I dont want to get my hopes up, but is this a good sign im being asked about fin aid? Or is this just a normal thing everyone else has gotten? Thanks!
