  1. U of T's deadline to accept was April 15th. I feel your pain! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
  2. I got a phone call from U of T this morning. I was accepted off the wait list. She said I was the first person she talked to! Some of you should be hearing soon!
  3. Can anyone that is accepted at U of T let us know when they have to accept their offers of admission by? It will give us a clue as to when we might hear from the department if we get off the wait list. Thanks!
  4. Hmm... the letter they sent me sounded a lot more optimistic than the Western letter... but this doesn't really say anything about chances I suppose. I'm thinking it was the same letter for everyone? I received an email... I asked how many were wait listed and she told me when she emailed me back this morning. I don't think there is any way of knowing how many people will be accepted off the wait list. It depends on a lot of factors. Some universities offer more acceptances than spots they intend to have in the program as they anticipate people to decline offers. I'm not sure if this is the case for U of T. It also depends on how many people actually decline the offers, which I am sure varies from year to year. Lets keep our fingers crossed!! Western seems like a HUGE long shot. Do to the overlap in the application system with Western and U of T, I would think there will be a lot of shuffling and hopefully that will result in lots of people getting accepted off the wait lists!
  5. For those who are curious... there are 30 people on the wait list at U of T (50 spots), and as was said before, 70 people on the wait list at Western (36 spots last year... not sure on # this year?). They won't tell you where you are on the wait list at U of T, however, Western will tell you which third of the list you are on.
  6. Thanks! They put them in the mail on Monday, but there was no postal service Monday... so we should receive them soon!
  7. I made an email inquiry to make sure that a previous email was received before the deadline... it was and when I was emailed back, I was told I was wait listed. The wait list responses are in the mail apparently! UWO let me know that I am in the bottom third of the wait list... so it seems that chances are pretty slim there.
  8. I've heard the same thing today: 70 people... for around 36 spots? That seems silly. On a brighter note, I found out today that I was wait listed and not rejected at U of T as well! . Hopefully the wait list is shorter at U of T.
  9. I think U of T sent out acceptances via email through the night/this morning through an automated system. Looking at the responses from previous years, it appears that people received rejection and wait list responses via snail mail.
  10. Just received an email from U of T "This is to confirm receipt of your application to the MHSc program. Please be informed all application status have been put in the mail via Canada Post today." Did everyone receive this email? I've lost hope on getting an acceptance today... but hoping I can get wait listed at a couple schools and take one of the spots of the people that received multiple offers! Fingers crossed!!!
  11. Congrats to those who got in at U of T! I haven't got an email yet, but hopefully I will heard soon :S Does anyone know if they send out rejections by email as well?
  12. Thanks, ollieal! Anyone know how many will be admitted this year at Western. I know last year was 36.
  13. Hey everyone! Just joining now... I decided to finally create an account. I was wait listed at Western and rejected at McGill... feel a little bit let down. Hoping for U of T!! Hopefully they send out emails tonight too! I kind of wish they would give us some numbers for how many are on the wait list. The letter said there was 405 applicants to Western this year! Yikes!
