So I found out today that my IOS proposal has been recommended for funding as well They've actually been trying to call my PI for a couple of days and she wasn't answering the phone because she didn't recognize the number X_x
Well my proposal is still visible, and I still have a hunch I'm not going to get it, so I wouldn't draw too many conclusions based on these odd little quirks with the site
Spoke with a program officer in IOS today... it wasn't a very pleasant interaction, so I don't recommend calling. But the information I got was that, at least for my program, they are having their final meeting on April 26th. I was told that, if I am getting it, I should hear by May 3rd. Not sure how broadly applicable that is for all of IOS applicants though.
Sorry about that... at least you have an answer though. Going on six months here with no response Haven't been able to find any other IOS folks who have heard either.
LDY, care to share which program you and your friends applied through? I'm trying to find a single person who applied through IOS that has found out one way or the other.
Thanks for merging my earlier post into this thread. Three of my friends found out last week that they didn't get it,but they applied through Environmental Biology. What's strange is that the NSF's timetable for review (http://www.nsf.gov/events/advisory.jsp) says that Environmental Biology panels are just starting to meet this week... So I don't know if they reject certain proposals off the bat before a panel even meets? Or maybe the panel dates posted on this site don't apply to DDIGS? Not sure. But I applied through Integrative Organismal Systems, and I still haven't heard anything.
