Yup another DPhD applicant waiting. Called them, they told processing is still on. I doubt there are any chances for funding. Profs are also not responding to mails. Lots have been accepted into MSME. Infact 14 - 15 ppl from a specific college in india have been offered admission due to a tieup with purdue. mech. Also anyone here waiting for TAMU mech also??

Dear All, Has anyone received an offer from UTIAS for fall 2013?? When I contacted the department I was told that first round of offers were made towards the end of last week. I was interviewed for 2 profs in the department. I contacted one of them and was told that "Unfortunately I couldn't be offered an admission in the 1st round" depending on the responses from initial candidates, more offers will be sent out starting May. Let me know if anyone's got offers and not going or in the wait list like myself. Lets discuss Regards Varun

Hey guys, I was interviewed for a masters program at UTIAS in march. I did not receive any updates from the university so I contacted the prof regarding my application status. He mentioned that he couldn't accommodate me in the first round of admissions. However depending on responses from initial candidates more offers will be made starting from may. What are the chances of making it through in the second round. Does UofT reject candidates after a very good interview like mine?? And two profs were interested in me. I thought I had very good chances of making it. Anyone else here has applied and heard from the department?? Please let me know Regards Varun
