Where are the admissions from Wharton..

In case anyone was interested, I emailed Harvard and they said all decisions have been made and all applicants will be notified of results in the next few weeks. Not sure what that means for those who have not been accepted. I doubt there is another round of acceptances.

Should I email and acquire about my status... Hmm...

Seems unlikely they would admit again though :S Especially if your email seems like a generic email to everyone.

I contacted CMU and they said it wont be until Feb. Also what is happening with Wharton? No admissions yet?

Nevertheless if anyone decides to email them to acquire about their status, please update us!

I feel like CMU won't keep their promise..

I think business schools really chose based on fit and profile. They take so few students and give them all of their resources.

Have acceptances gone out for Wharton? Last year it came around this time. I haven't gotten rejection YET.

I think at least 2-3 more schools will send out their first round of results this week. The wait is killing me.

I think so too. Either way, this is better than having a rejection.

I emailed them and received: Thank you very much for your application and interest in our graduate program. You have heard correctly that we have sent our first round of offers as well as denials. In the next couple of weeks our Admissions Committee will establish a waiting list. We won't know if anyone from the waiting list will be selected until we receive decisions from the first round of offers. Please feel free to check back with us on the status of your application again. Implies I may be waitlisted? What do you guys think this means?

How did you know you didn't get into Washington stats? Rejections have gone out? Last year they sent admissions on two different dates.

Me too... I think Wharton may have also given out an offer? Business schools only admit like 2-3 a year anyways.

Hope Washington's second wave of admissions come soon.. Michigan is also coming soon. They just checked my website yesterday (Googlesites has tracking).

That's not true, but the scores can be seen for any result with a red diamond. Anyone who got into Washington want to share their profiles?

To the people who were admitted to Washington PhD Stats, could you guys post your profiles? I see two high Math GRE scores, that's impressive. Congrats! I would assume being admitted to Washington implies a very good shot at the other top ranked schools right? Washington is top tier, correct?

Why does it seem like most people on this board are applying to biostats not pure stats?

I don't think anything really has come out yet. Last year the first results recorded were: Washington Jan 19 Wharton Jan 19 CMU Jan 25 Harvard Jan 25 Chicago Jan 29 Michigan Feb 1 Looks like we got another week or two of waiting.

Being notified of wait listed is still a decision. Rather quickly and early too.
