  1. I'm not sure. I currently work in business development for a biotech company. They have a branch in new jersey. After speaking to my boss he offered transfering me to the NJ department, which still means I could live in NYC. If this is the case then I will probably do the online program as part time so that I can continue working. I dont know... I dont even know why i didnt apply to Penn, I guess I wasnt well informed. What do you think? I'm starting to think that my MD and no scientific publications or hands on lab experience is what overthrew me at columbia.
  2. I know. i feel the same... im gonna drink my sorrows i think. JHU it is then
  3. Im really sad i dont get it... maybe they dont take internationals...
  4. is anyone considering calling? I honestly started to give up... I need to know weather I leave my current job for NYC.
  5. @ coollsy: nothing, im as nervous as u, i literally ate a whole pizza today :s
  6. *good way to start. Im sorry for the tipos. My Phone has predicted in spanish , so it does actually write whatever it wants
  7. @yorkies: I started thinking on biotech after I decided that hospital life wasnt for me. I have actually done almost 2 years of general surgery...dont get me wrong, i love medicine i love surgery but the hours, the pay, the being on call every single weekend for the rest of my life... Its definitely something to think about... I actually dont care for other practices that are not surgery. i have always found biotech extremely interesting.. So i think a masters could be a good work ti start for a career change. We'll see in time but i would rather pursue quality of life than turn into one of those horrible surgeons that wont stop complaining about hours and monthly checks, while being extremely greedy. Believe me, in time all doctors become greedy and self centered. I used to work average 125 hs a week... There are no laws in Argentina that "protect" the medical resident by restricting work hours
  8. What are your backgrounds? I m an MD from argentina
  9. Any news????? Its really getting on my nerves. For me it means moving to the US from latam
  10. I know. I am on holidays from work and keep my phone's roaming on just in case.
