From somebody's comment in Rice's results section, I gather than they have a couple rounds of offers.
-
It appears as though Rice sent out some acceptances today.
-
Does anyone know what Duke is up to? Haven't heard from them yet.
-
... what? That's silly.
-
I got an offer from UNC Stats. My first one so far.
-
I am in a similar situation. I'm getting pretty antsy.

I've enjoyed Pittsburgh when I've visited. It's hilly, has some cool old buildings, interesting neighborhoods, etc. The main complaints I can imagine people having are 1) The weather (not so great when compared to California or more southern places) 2) As a smaller city, it doesn't have the same level and variety of stuff that a city like NYC or SF or LA offer. But since you say you prefer smaller towns and cities, you wouldn't make complaint (2). I agree with cyprusprior ... Since Pittsburgh is so hilly, much of the land is unbuildable, so there are tons of trees and natural spaces. And it's practically (or maybe actually) in Appalachia, so there is plenty of hiking, etc. available right near (or in) the city.

Did you email them or did you look on the results page?
-
Congrats.
-
Did they send an email to check the website or did you just happen to check?

Seems like most people who have gotten in anywhere have GPA > 3.85 And a lot of people with these GPAs have been rejected. Statistics is pretty competitive.

For anybody that got into UT Austin's stats program: Was it a personalized email? Are you likely to go? It's high on my list but I haven't heard back yet.
-
I think Penn is sending out rejections in a staggered fashion. I got one last week. Somebody else seems to have gotten one today.
-
I applied to UCLA.
-
Somebody got into UT Austin's stats PhD. I haven't heard back yet.
-
For the statistics PhD at Wharton, I mean.
-
I got a rejection from UPenn. Not surprising. They seem to admit very few students.
-
Good luck!
-
I hope you're right. Didn't get into Washington Stats. I was expecting that I wouldn't.
-
only two people have put made their results known, I mean
-
i wouldn't say that yet only two people have been admitted. last year the bulk of admissions came later.

based on the results page, it looks like not very many people have heard back from stats programs yet.
-
