Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone wouldn't mind giving me some honest truths about what my chances of getting into a Masters program for biostatistics. I know that I'm out of contention for all of the top tier schools, but want to know if I even have a shot at some lesser ones.
I'm a Biology major and a statistics minor. Overal GPA is bad, around a 2.85, but in my stats and math classes it's better, around 3.2. The classes that brought me down were chemistry classes, physics, and then a random bio one or two. No real research experience outside of general class work. I haven't taken the GRE's either, but have always done well on standardized tests. Got in the 1300's on the SAT's in high school.
I've only recently started researching programs but figured I should ask around here first to see if I have a chance.
I've looked into programs at George Mason University and feel like i might have a chance there. It's a new program so they are still accepting application for fall 2013.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.
