  1. I was making some last minute edits to my HKS MPP essays and ended up making some major changes right before the deadline. I ended up rushing to redo the sections that I had edited. I know this was a bad idea. After submitting the essays, I noticed a number instances of awkward wording and a couple typos. For example, I left out the word "to" in one sentence. I know that this is a holistic process, but are my chances now slim due to these typos? It's frustrating that, after all this work, my last ditch effort becomes the nail in the coffin.
  2. I am a bit confused about these instructions for uploading transcripts: "This requirement includes institutions where courses have been taken but no degree was received. The Office of Admissions will not accept transcripts that are accessible through a school's self-service website. For purposes of this application, you must upload transcripts, but please note that if admitted, you will be required to have official signed and sealed transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions prior to enrollment." Does this mean that we have to upload scanned copies of official transcripts or can we upload unofficial transcripts? When I scan and upload the official copies, they come out illegible.
  3. I am currently working on the online application for LSE and I am confused about which file format to use. On the Personal Statement page it says the following "At this time, we do not recommend uploading PDF format files. Check here for recommended file formats." Then when you click the link it states:" It is highly suggested that PDF's (created in Acrobat 7 and earlier) are uploaded, preventing any compatibility issues." Can I upload my transcripts, personal statement, etc. as pdfs? Has anyone else uploaded them in Adobe X? My transcripts were sent to me in Adobe X and I don't have Adobe 7 on my computer. Can I upload them in Adobe X?
