  2. Any Michiganian applicants out there?!
  3. Hi everyone! Excited to be apart of this thread and "meet" some folks in the same boat. My stats are as follows Gpa: 3.93 overall 4,0 in the major Gre: 150v 148q 4.5aw the first time. 154v 145q 4aw the second time. Worked as a special needs counselor for a summer. Volunteered in a few day cares and elementary schools (inner city). Sorority alumni. Nsslha member. Msha member. Work as a physical therapy technician. Volunteered at a camp for kids who stutter. Honors college. Maybe some others I can't think of righ now haha. I know my gre scores, especially my math, aren't great. So I really hope I won't get rejected because of that. Everyone's stats look amazing. Looks like it'll be a competitive pool. I'm applying mostly to schools in the Midwest. Good luck everyone!
  4. Hi everyone. Just took the gre for the second time. I got a 145 for math (3 points worse than last time) and a 154 for verbal (4 points better than last time) I'm guessing I did about the same as writing as last time (4.5) I don't have it in yet. Should I take the test again or just be done with it and send in both sets of scores? Thanks all and good luck!
  5. @dibbels thank you! That's so great.
  6. Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew of grad programs that are known for preparing students well for medical speech pathology (specialty tracks, hospital placements, etc). Preferable in the Midwest but any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks and good luck to all!
  7. @lululana I'm thinking university of Toledo, Miami university, and either cinci or bowling green!
  8. Hello I'm a senior CSD major applying this fall. I am Applying to pretty much all te schools in michigan and a few in Ohio. Just took the GRE..need to take it again! Good luck to all of you.
  9. Hi everyone, I just took my gre and im quite concerned. I received 150 on the verbal, 148 on the quantitative and 4.5 on the writing. I do have a 3.93ish gpa (hard for me to know for sure, I transferring schools so I have two GPAs, 3.87 and 4.0). 4.0 in SLP classes. Currently volunteering at a hospital in the SLP department, going to be volunteering at a camp for kids who stutter this summer, also have volunteered with kids in daycares and elementary school. Work at a physical therapy clinic. Also i was a special needs counselor for a summer at a camp, plus some other random activities. Basically I am wondering how much do you all think my low GRE scores will affect my chances of getting into a grad school. I am planning on retaking it, but I honestly do not know how much it will help.I am simply not a standardized test taker. Thanks in advance!! This will just help my sanity...
