  1. Hi everyone! I need your advice: in May 2014, I have been accepted for a MA at a university in the US (I'm an international student). I deferred it to Fall 2015 because I wanted to gain more work experience before going back to studying (this would be my 2nd master's degree). They accepted my deferral, and asked me to confirm in January 2015 that I would come for the Fall 2015. I did confirm that I was able to come and would join the ranks in the fall. However since January, my financial situation and my motivation for the master's have changed, and I am considering not going at all. Being an international student I have no idea what the policy is about this: am I allowed to decline the offer now, 2 months before the beginning of term, and after I said I would come last January? Will I have to pay any fee for not going? Basically: what's going to happen to me if I tell them now that I'm not coming? Thank you for your answers!!!
  2. Hey! I'm interested in this MA as well and am considering applying to it next year after I finish my BA in Politics and International Relations. Did you end up applying for it? If not what did you apply for? I'm a bit lost in my research of the perfect Masters degree so your feedback would be great!
  3. Hi Schwarzgelber! Can I just ask you if you decided to attend the MS Global Affairs? I'm really interested in it and want to apply for it next year. Did you get any meaningful information on the program and all the questions you were asking in your previous post? And also, just so I can weight my chances to be accepted, what kind of background do you have (professional and educational etc), if I may ask? Sorry I'm not very helpful with your own decisions... Hope you figured it out!
  4. Hi guys, I am almost finished with my B.A in Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent (UK) and will most likely be graduating with a higher 2.1. I am highly interested in international law, particularly international human rights law and international humanitarian law (I have followed a 30-credits International Law module from Kent Law School). My professional project is very well formed: I want to work in the protection and promotion of human rights, specifically in conflicts and at an international level (International organizations or NGOs). I have strong experience in the field (internships at permanent delegations of NGOs to the UN, various voluntary work with refugees, street children and orphans). In order to work in this field, it is strongly recommended to study international law, which is why I would like to do a master's degree in International Law. However as I did not pursue a LLB, I was wondering if you think I could get into a LLM (I have some basic knowledge in Law as I have completed approximately 60 credits in Law during my studies)? Or do you know of any MA in International Law that you could recommend me? Thanks a lot for your help! Laura
