  1. I did not receive that email. My interview was by skype, however, maybe that's the reason.
  2. I am waiting for USC since my interview almost two months ago. No communication since then, not even when I asked two times by email... I already assumed rejection.
  3. I emailed NYU neural science to ask about the the process. It seems that no interview so far = rejection in the end of the month (they actually used the words 'extremely unlikely' to be accepted). Well, guess I'm not going to the USA this year.
  4. Does anyone know anything about NYU Neural Science? I saw some people got acceptances/interviews/rejections for the neuroscience program, but so far not even a word for me. I am really worried since I have not been accepted anywhere yet....
  5. They would tell me that only if they invite me for the interview. Well, it seems I didn't get the invitation. (I am international, so maybe it's different for americans...).
  6. Sadly, I think they did. I sent 3 emails to confirm if my materials arrived. They only answered when I also asked about the interviews (if it could be on skype). But I have not heard anything else..
  7. I am also waiting to hear from BU, but the website says that the interview begins today....
  8. Does anyone know the chances of acceptance for interviewed students at USC?
  9. Thanks by the answers. However, I don't think I totally explained the situation. After I translate, it is possible to the university to "make it official", by the dean signature and official stamp and so on. The problem is that they don't have a employee to translate it - so someone have to do it. By all means, it will be a official document issued by my university. But they do not emit a sealed on, however. I do not know how I will do this... Anyway, I'll ask the universities. Translations in my country are REALLY expansive, and if I ask a official translator, it will be more then $1000, probably. But if there is no other way, I'll pay it.....
  10. Hi, I found today that my undergrad university can help me by certifying my transcripts if I translate them myself, thus helping me to save lots of money. However, the name of the university, the university's address, and the official stamp (the one that says "dean of the undergraduate comission" below his signature) will still be in my native language, since the university cannot use English stamps. All the other informations can be translated. Anyone knows if that is a problem to the universities in USA? Since I'll translate them myself, I do not know how it's usually done. Or is it safe to ask them one by one? Thanks!
  11. I don't know if I can duplicate it, mostly because I'm running out of time (I still have to take the GRE subject, ask for LoR, write the Statements...). I'll send a email to ETS to see if they let me take it again and not cancel my current scores.
  12. No, I take it in Brazil. Is it a worldwide problem? I don't think that sending a letter is a option for me, it would take months to arrive, and I need the results before October.
  13. Hi, I took the GRE today, and just got home. During the test I had the "awesome" experience of seeing my computer chrashs not one, but three times! In all of them, they made us leave the exam room and we had to wait about 20 minutes to come back. Well, two of these unexpected breaks happened during my verbal sections, and naturally after the breaks I had to read the texts again and got out of time (not to mention I was really unnerved and could not concentrate again). Do you guys think I should contact ETS to take the test again? Or do you think they would give me another chance for free? There is another problem. Even with these interruptions, i got the 155V and 168Q raw scores. I know they may change, but if they are enough I will not retake the test anymore, no matter what ETS says. I'm aiming for some top10 programs in neuroscience (most at the BSN at CalTech). Do you think this low verbal score will hurt my chances? Or can I somehow explain to the universities what happened? Also, I'm a international student, and I don't know if they require from us the same verbal score that they do for USA students. Does any one knows how this work?
