Hello,
I'm pretty excited about the upcoming year. Out of 9 schools, 3 admitted me. I'm okay with that. The University of Virginia admitted me without funding. Boston College admitted to their M.A. program without funding. New School admitted me with 6k in funding (not enough, sadly.) I've pretty much settled on Virginia as my school of choice. My interests are culture, identity, nationalism, and theory. UVa says theory and culture are their strong points, so it seems like the easy choice, but I'm still wavering.
New School I certaintly can't afford. Boston College I really cannot afford either, but would BC be the better option. I suppose my question is, which school would you choose? Remember, BC won't give me funding and living will be much higher than Charlottesville. On the other hand, I really wanted to live in New England (UConn and Umass denied me sadly.) UVa is still in the south (i live in GA).
I'm if I go to UVa I will be happy. I just don't want to regret anything. I'm interested in everyone's opinions, so write back.
matt
