  1. I think we can submit the graduate application to portland state later, as long as it is in by April 15th. I might e-mail the advisor to ask though. That's a good question.
  2. Hey everyone! I just wanted to say hello. I am limited geographically, so I am only applying to PSU and Pacific here in Portland. I am halfway through my post-bacc prerequisites through the University of Florida. Here are my stats: Prerequisite GPA: 4.0 Major GPA: 3.76 Cumulative GPA: 3.45 (I took some dual enrollment classes while I was in high school and slacked off - over a decade ago! but it affects my gpa) GRE: Quant: 152, Qual: 162, AW: 6 I just e-submitted through CSDCAS, though they are still waiting for my transcripts from the three classes I completed this semester. Is anyone else only applying to Portland schools? I've done observations at Shriners hospitals here in Portland and in Philly, and my daughter receives frequent speech therapy. But my undergraduate major is English. I think my letters of rec are alright - two from SLP professors from the most recent semester and one from the editor that I worked under as a journalist for three years (my employer). Anyway, I just wanted to say hi! Now time to wait together until notifications in the spring.
  3. Hey there! I was accepted in both the FSU bridge program (online) and the in-person PSU post bacc program. I'm trying to decide what is best. I have Fl Prepaid College which will cover most of the $ for the FSU program. But I will only be able to apply to the two master's programs which are local to me in the Portland area and maybe some online programs when I apply for Fall 2014. Has anyone completed the FSU bridge program? If so, how do you feel about it? Did you have to take extra prerequisites in addition to the six 4 credit classes included in the bridge? I have a B.A. in English from the University of South Florida 2009, and I have completed almost all of the non-SLP prerequisites for ASHA except the physical science sequence which I will complete Fall 2013/Spring 2014 at PSU or PCC here in Portland. I'm taking the GRE in October, and I have a daughter who requires lots of Speech therapy, so I have experience in that way. Thanks for your thoughts!!
