  1. Hi Angrawa - Sorry to be so slow with a reply. Have you made a decision? I would personally probably wait a year and re-apply. I have a good friend who did not get in to any of her top choices her first year. This year, she was accepted at 5/6 schools. She really improved her GRE score, though. So, I guess it depends on whether there is something concrete you can work on during the next year. I haven't heard about people transferring, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Good luck to you -
  2. Hi All... Just an update -- I talked to University of Arizona and they said they expect to release decisions by April 5. Just in case anyone else is waiting to hear from them. also - is anyone else waiting to hear from Ohio State? I am desperate to know something from them --- Thanks to all... I can't believe this process is almost over - Thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Sorry Angrawa - I haven't heard anything about any of those programs. I'm still waiting too!! Anyone heard from Ohio State PhD Epi or Univ. Arizona PhD Epi???
  4. Hi Everyone, So far, I have acceptances at Johns Hopkins and UW-Seattle for a Phd in Epidemiology. Also at UMD-College Park for PhD in Public & Commmunity Health. I'm still waiting to hear from Ohio State and U of Arizona (PhD in Epi for both). I have a couple of questions ---- 1.) Has anyone heard from Ohio State?? 2.) Funding!?!?! What kind of funding are you all receiving? UW - Seattle seems to have a lot of funding opportunities. But, what about Johns Hopkins? Ohio State? Arizona? I am trying to figure out where I can afford to go and just don't have a clear picture of funding --- It seems that other fields have so much more funding?!?! Any thoughts/feedback/advice??? Thanks - and congrats to everyone who has gotten in -

  6. Hi Everyone, I'm new to the grad cafe but was thrilled to find a forum for public health applicants. Accepted: UW-Seattle, Johns Hopkins Rejected: Waiting for news: Emory, WashU, University of Arizona I heard that Emory held interviews a couple of weeks ago - so I am pretty sure that I'm rejected there - but haven't heard official news yet.
