  1. Just checked my galaxy, it's working. Kind of wish it would stop working so I'd quit checking it obsessively!
  2. No word yet. I see on the results page some people have gotten acceptances and rejections already. Hoping we hear something soon!
  3. UTD posts the average accepted student stats and about how many they accept each semester. Is that what you were talking about earlier about updating stats? I didn't know ASHA had a site to check. I need to stop looking and distract myself
  4. SeaCsd, It's my understanding that UTD is highly competitive. My GRE isnt stellar either and I have a friend that was accepted last year with a low GRE so don't get discouraged! I checked out the stats, wishingwishing, and it looks like they only take a handful of students in the spring. I wonder how many apply. I'm checking galaxy daily hoping they'll update the status there.
  5. Wishingwishing, January??? I'll have pulled all my hair out by then! Are you an in-field or out of field applicant?
  6. I applied for spring admission to UT Dallas. The wait is already killing me! Best of luck to all of you!
  7. tex_hart, good luck to you! Hopefully we will both be starting soon! The wait is killing me
  8. Thank you, I'm trying not to stress but that's easier said than done . Good luck to you in your application process!
  9. Hi! Im new to all if this and like you had some struggles early in college. I graduated when i was 35 so i know what its like. Dont get discouraged(that's what everyone keeps telling me). If you're still in school, taking a few communication disorders classes to show your intent as well as increase your GPA is a great idea! That would also give you good networks for LOR's that are in field. Good luck!
  10. Hi all! This site has been so helpful with easing some of my anxieties over grad school application. I see the fall 2014 applicant topic and was wondering if anyone is applying for a spring 2014 start. Thought we could start a thread for those of us applying for then. A little about me: I'm a non traditional student, 40, single mom of 2. Graduated with my BS in speech pathology in 2008. Been working as an SLPA since graduation and finally ready to get my masters degree. Being divorced with children has me limited to my area so I'm applying to UTD and TWU then UNT in the fall since I didn't see a spring start for them. I have to admit I'm terrified to be returning at my age and seeing how many of you with stats far superior than mine get rejections doesn't help my fears. Hoping to hear from others applying for this spring semester. Good luck to all!
