Hi all, due to some unforeseen developments in my personal life, it might be more beneficial to me if I get my MFA in the UK or Ireland, instead of the US, where I had originally planned. If anyone can give me any kind of guidance as to what programs are good and what funding opportunities there are for American students, I would be eternally grateful. Hi agrobaby, thank you so much for your feedback. I am currently writing my statement, but it is not finished yet. I like to focus on the female form, but some of the paintings are simply self portraits. Conceptually, I like to explore the space between reality ( and what we show on the surface) and the other-worldly, subconscious manifestations of emotions and reactions to every day life. My paintings are somewhat autobiographical. I am going to be without internet for a week, but will post my statement ASAP. Thanks again for your help! It's great to get some real criticism.

Hey everyone, I've been out of the US for two years teaching English, painting the whole time, but haven't had much access to good, honest criticism...save for my friends from home and occasionally my professors from undergrad. I'll be applying to schools as soon as I get back to the US this winter (the first deadline is January 1...eek), and would love some good, honest, helpful feedback on my work. Hey everyone, I'm new here and am working on putting together my portfolio and application for Fall 2014. It's all very chaotic for me, especially since I've been teaching English abroad for the past two years and will be applying to schools pretty much upon my return to the US this winter. Other than friends from home and my professors from my undergrad once in awhile, I really haven't been able to get a lot of good criticism.
