  1. OMG!!!! CONGRATSSS, Mozartgirl53!!!! I definitely agree with GnosisExchange that you should keep a blog so we can keep up with your great work!
  2. So like the rest of you who haven't heard back yet, I'm getting super anxious so I decided to e-mail the Program Manager for South and Central Asia, Cara Doble. I got an automatic e-mail back saying she's out of country on Fulbright business till Wednesday Just thought I'd let you guys know for anyone who was considering contacting her. Hang in there everyone, hopefully we'll be finding out soon!!
  3. CONGRATS!!! Looks like Monday has started strong with two countries already finding out!
  4. CONGRATSSS!!!!!!!
  5. Congrats to you and everyone else who got India fulbright!!! That's going to be such an amazing experience! I've always wanted to go to India! I applied for research to Bangladesh and am still waiting.....fingers crossed any day now!
  6. HAHA I think I'm gonna react like this whether I get accepted or not...
  7. Hey chok dee (love the name, btw), I'm not really in the same situation as you, but I did used to work and live in Thailand about 1.5 years ago. Where to do live? I lived in Phuket and worked for an NGO there. Definitely miss Phuket! I also had a chance to visit Laos and loved it! What's your project about?
  8. haha LOVE this. Can't wait till this finally happens to me...
  9. That's definitely a hard situation, but I agree with the others that have commented on this. In my opinion, this experience will make your relationship stronger. I left to work abroad when my boyfriend and I had been dating for 4 months, and I was abroad for 2 of the 3 years we have been dating. It's hard, but not impossible. If your relationship is going to survive marriage, then it can survive this. Also, REALLY hoping the rumor about all of us finding out before April 15th is true. This wait is killin me!
  10. Does anyone know if there's some way we can find out if the country we applied to has interviews? I applied for a full research to Bangladesh, and don't see anything on the Fulbright Bangladesh page about interviews. I also checked out last years spreadsheet and both the Bangladesh candidates listed on the spreadsheet did have interviews (one was full research and one was ETA). Does anyone have insight on how to find out if the country definitely has interviews, or do we just have to wait till we get an e-mail? Also, congrats to everyone that got recommended! Definitely happy to be recommended but still very nervous about my chances of actually getting the grant. Guess we'll have to wait and see!
  11. I'm at work but I might still take your advice loveee breaking bad! For those who haven't seen it, it might actually help keep your mind off fulbright for a bit. Yes, it's that good.
  12. I just wanted to chime in since I've done the whole long distance thing. My boyfriend and I have been together for a little more than 3 years and 2.5 of that has been long distance (different continents most of the time). It can be hard at times but you'll do what you need to make it work. I know he'll be sad to see me go again (fingers crossed that actually happens! haha), but I'm confident our relationship will be fine. I've been much too worried about getting through this round to even think about relationship stuff that far in the future to be quite honest. Keeping my fingers crossed we find out tomorrow! Good luck everyone!!
