  1. I have called and called and emailed and emailed, lol. I finally got an email yesterday, stating that the committee is finalizing decisions. I then received an email from another staff member, stating that they are waiting for responses from other applicants that they have made offers to, and that it is unlikely that I will be accepted. Would've been nice to know that at least two weeks ago (before the Apr 15 deadline that most schools adhere to). I'm still hoping there's a chance, but that response sounded doubtful.
  2. The problem, HKsai, is that other schools DO want decisions by today, so NYU not notifying people on time is really messed up and honestly, really unprofessional. They really should have let everyone know whether they were accepted or rejected way before now, so people would've had time to weigh all of their options.
  3. I think it's definitely the "road not taken" syndrome with me. The school I declined is actually a school I've wanted to attend since undergrad. I wasn't accepted for undergrad, but got my chance to finally attend for my Master's, but ended up having a better situation elsewhere. Crazy twist...
  4. So I just declined one of my offers, and for some reason, I felt guilty about even declining and sending the email. And now I'm already second-guessing myself about whether I made the absolute proper decision. It's like I had a hard time letting go of one offer, even though I know I have other options. Anybody else feel that way?
  5. So, it's the day before decision day and I still have heard nothing. Anybody hear anything?
  6. So, I am still waiting to hear from NYU, and I need to notify my other schools by Apr 15. I applied to NYU Early Decision, so I am obligated to go there if they accept me, so I can't just go ahead and accept one of the other schools' offers. The dilemma is that whichever school I decide on, I am going to need a PLUS loan. In order to apply for that, I need to have a decision, and without hearing from NYU, I can't make a decision. I was told that it takes 2 - 3 business days to hear back after applying for the PLUS loan. That means, I really need to submit my request either today or tomorrow. I have no idea what I should do. NYU is saying it could be another week before I hear anything, and I am afraid that if I don't apply for a PLUS loan in time, I won't know which school I can truly afford. Any advice on this situation would be helpful. Thanks!
  7. Oil, I feel your pain. I do have two other acceptances, but Steinhardt is my #1 choice, and I applied Early Decision, which makes the decision particularly crucial. It is imperative that I hear something very soon. I need to make my decision by Apr 15, and I can't without hearing from NYU. AHHHH!!! Insanity...
  8. Yeah, I know it's totally different. Glad you finally heard something though! Congrats! I will continue hanging on for dear life, lol...
  9. Called again yesterday, after initially being told that I would have a decision emailed to me by March 31. Now they're saying it could be a week - a week and a half. Meanwhile, I am sitting on two other offers, and kind of stuck because I applied Early Decision to NYU... so I kinda need to know something like yesterday. I saw two new acceptances for Music Technology in the results search, so the good news is that they are still accepting people, and it's not all rejections at this point. Anybody else hear anything yet?
  10. I broke down and emailed admissions about a week ago, and they said I should receive notification via email by the end of March. Well, it is now the end of March. I am hoping that they will finally send something today, but for some reason, I have a doubtful feeling that they're even going to do that. So much torture...
  11. I've recently been accepted to the Music Business and Entertainment Industries program at UMiami, and the Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management program at Columbia College Chicago. Anyone else applied to any of these schools and know any information about the programs? I am trying to find out the strong points and weaknesses of both. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  12. Thanks for the replies. I am applying for the Music Business program, which does not require an interview. It is somewhat comforting that I'm not the only one waiting to hear from Steinhardt, even though we're applying to two different departments. I wish someone who applied to the Music Business program would respond; maybe they will.
