Hi, I’ve been following a few threads on this forum and decided to get some practical advice from all the experienced members here regarding the choice of the business school which I’ll have to make very soon.
I come from Eastern Europe and will soon be done with my Bachelor degree in one of the best business schools in Poland. My work experience is not very extensive, but I’ve managed to do a few summer internships, of which one was in a tier 1 consulting company. At the same time I’ve been quite active in the University life being a part of the Student Council and participating in organizing an important economic forum at the Uni that hosted 300 people with speakers from various countries. I’ve also done one semester abroad if it can be counted as extracurricular activity.
Currently my preference would be to get a MiM degree somewhere in Europe with a final goal of finding a job in strategy consulting. With a GMAT of 710 and a high GPA from my Bachelor degree I hope to have good chances for most of the top business school that offer such programs.
A few things would be really important for me when choosing a program. I'm looking for advanced management classes cause I already have a Bachelor degree in Business Administration and wouldn't like to study basics again. Also I'm a fan of smaller groups and very interactive classes cause in my opinion it makes much more sense than typical lectures with a few hundreds of students in the room. Not less important is the reputation of the schools and the range of opportunities for non-EU citizens after graduation (how essential would be to know local language?). Finally, the tuition fee and a chance to get a scholarship will also affect my choice.
I'd be so grateful if I could get some recommendations or maybe just opinions about different schools/programs from those of you who have relevant knowledge or experience. Thx in advance!
