Hello, I am currently a political science PhD student who may be out of the program as a result of getting 2 C grades in my first year. I have struggled in quantitative research and dislike it. My area of interest are looking at racial attitudes, political issues surround African-Americans, and public opinion. I am now thinking of going into a nonquantitative discipline where I can still study my interests. Assuming I am released from my program, can someone help me identify a qualitative field to pursue a PhD? I am thinking about history as a field that may be feasible. This year has been hell for me and I know I do not like quantitative research. Please help.

So much for all the talk about Maryland. I just got rejected.

Well Im wanting to study race and ethnicity in American politics particularly African American politics. He says that Maryland is the place to study race and ethnicity. He told me to trust him on that. But this is assuming I get in.

He thinks its a great fit for what I want to study.

My professor told me to go to Maryland if I get accepted regardless of funding. My question is how does one pay for school and living with no funding?

Does Maryland send out all acceptances before rejections?

What are some of the major businesses in Lexington for shopping?

I have not heard anything from Maryland yet either. Im expecting probably this week. My nervousness increased when I saw the results page.

I received my second rejection from Wisconsin as well. Kind of insult to injury going on.

I think that I may have to wait until March to hear from my remaining schools. I am anxious to hear from Maryland and Georgia State.

Can someone provide me the justification for sending the rejects two weeks after all acceptances were sent? I have not heard from Ohio State, but feel certain it will be a rejection.

I have been admitted to the University of Kentucky. It did not say anything about funding, but I am not sure if they have sent those decisions yet. Im a conditional status right now because I need an awarded bachelor's degree which I will have in May. Anyone get into Kentucky with funding?

There is one reject from Ohio State. I guess this means that they are done sending out acceptances.
