Hey everyone! If you've just gotten your LEAP acceptance emails, and are on the hunt for an apartment, check out the following link: http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/sub/5348525674.html At only $590 a month before utilities, it's a little room with a great value! Included in the unit are a large living room, a kitchen to share with 3 other people, a bathroom to share with 2 others, a laundry room with our own washer and drier, plus closet space throughout. All rooms have been recently painted/had floors redone. We occupy the 2nd floor and attic of a 3 story house. You would be sharing the house with 3 guys, all recent LEAP graduates who are either working or pursuing further education, plus one girl, a lawyer. Everyone is in their mid to late twenties. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, but definitely conducive to studying -- we'll have occasional parties but it's nice and quiet by bedtime. We're about 1.5 miles from BU central on a clean, tree-lined street in Brookline, just off the B line. The address is 72 Verndale Street, Brookline, MA, 02446, if you'd like to map/street view it. Let me know if you're interested! We're looking to sublet the room till September 1st, after which time you'd be able to sign onto the lease (1 year duration). Hey all! I posted this to the facebook page, figured I'd put it up here too: Hey guys! Have any of you received your course planning sheet for phase 1 in biomedical? I'm hoping to take courses that apply to both BME and ME tracks this Spring, so that I can choose between the two paths after exploring them through my first semester, but at the moment I only have my ME planning sheet. It's been tough to track down this info from the advisers/admins. I'm hoping someone here can help me out. Thanks a lot, much appreciated! Any help would be so welcome. Thanks!!

Also, RAV_23, congrats on getting in! Did you hear before Thanksgiving, or have you heard since?

Curious to those other applicants who haven't heard, yet-- Have any of you contacted BU to ask where they're at with the process? The longer it goes without hearing from them, the more ominous a feeling I'm getting... haha, anyone else in the same boat?

It's funny, I'm very familiar with Boston and would recommend public transpo to anyone, over owning a car, but I can't think of any friends of mine who do live there without having one. I've got bunches of friends there, too... Different strokes for different folks, I guess!

Hang in there, Frosty88! I'm in the same boat, waiting to hear back. My hope is that they got to some applicants before Thanksgiving break, then took the holiday off, and now are getting to more of us. And, of course, I hope I get in! Congrats!! Still waiting for word from BU. Out of curiosity, was it a physical letter or an email?

Well I'm planning to take advantage of LEAP's flexibility through the Phase I courses, and not decide till I've checked out some of the labs/research projects in-person. That being said, I'm leaning strongly towards biomedical or mechanical. How about yourself?
