Is the two year TA thing gonna be a deal breaker for any of you? I am thinking it might be kind of foolish to turn down "gaurenteed" or at least promissed funding in the form of fellowships from other schools to go with UT's 2-year deal.
I'm into UT! What a miracle. Rejected by santa cruz but into UT this whole process is such a mystery. The two year TA thing, I've never heard of anything like that. Does anyone know anyone in the program? Is this standard?
hey hoopz,
I tried to email you back but I'm not sure if it worked. I applied at the deadline and I don't think UMass ever sent me any online login info. So I have no idea what my status online is currently. I hope you hear good news in the near future.
best o luck
GPA: 3.5
Major: Philosophy
I graduated in three years because of money issues otherwise I would have tried my hand at Poli Sci as an undergrad at my highly ranked school. Now I'll be going somewhere slightly less prestigous for a PhD but it will be a nice change of pace not to work a full time (totally unrelated to my poli sci interests) job while studying.
