For your information, I applied to Wagner School on October 24th and was notified that I will get a decision in 8-10 weeks. So I wait for almost three months, no news. Then I called the office in late Feburary(they would NEVER return my email). The adcom people told me the decision will be sent out in early March by email. now it's late march and still no news from them. Because of Wagner's inefficiency and the unpleasant way they treated applicants,I am not going to attend even if they admitted me.

Do you think being in Baltimore is a pro? not if you ask me.

That's just bullshit. I completed my application in Novemember last year. According to their schedule,they should have reviewed my files for like 300 times by now. F you,Wagner.

Calm down buddy. SPEA has a rolling admission process in my observation. I got admitted back in December last year, while a friend of my got her good news a week before. I think your notification is coming out soon.

Hey, I just got email this morning. I'm in at MSPPM with a renewable 7k scholarship. The letter did not mention the specific requirement to renew the scholarship in the spring semester. Any idea?

Question for Current Korbel Student: I was just admitted by Korbel School's Master program and received a 20,000$ scholarship. I really want to attend Korbel, however, I still have some difficulties with paying the rest of the tuition. Is it possible for me to apply for RA/TA now that I am admitted? Are there any other sources of financial aid? I am an international student btw.

The admission commitee is pretty fast. I was admitted in less than two weeks after my application was complete.

I was admitted to the MPA of Indiana University this morning. Anyone care to share any thoughts about the program? It ranked 2nd in US News Top Public Affairs Programs. IMHO, that might be a little overrated. Your two cents?

thanks for your reply ,Politicalgeek. You raised a point which is exactly I am concerned about. I have made up my mind to applying instead of working . So it is impossible for me to gain enough WE before applying. Plus,I do not have enough ecnomic background for my intended area. Would these two drawbacks hurt my chances of getting into these programs?

I am applying for MPP in fall 2010. I didn't major in economics,but I took calculus and statistics. I had a comprehensive UG GPA of 3.85.My GRE is v:630 q:800 awa:4.5 A fresh graduate from college ,I have no work experience. The only international experience I had would be a summer program in UC Berkeley. I had an internship in the largest foreign TV channel in Shanghai, did some volunteer experience in the poorest area of China and helped farmers there to improve their life. I want to specialize in social policy and/or porverty alleviation. My dream school is Elliott,SIS ,U Maryland and Brown (none of them has an economics focus). What are chances of getting in any of them? Thanks.
