Seriously, though, after being so neurotic for so long (6 months?) how can we possibly sit still and wait for replies? I'm thinking about getting up an hour earlier and walking, trying to impress my job supervisor again (it's been awhile since I had that idea), yoga, updating my wardrobe, cooking, and other bodily pursuits that I will have no time for in grad school. Joining a marathon is an excellent idea!!

Counting how many weeks are left until "mid March", entering this number into a spreadsheet, marking various projects to work on during each week, organizing... THE GRAD SCHOOL APPLICATION PROCESS DESTROYED MY MIND :lol:

Hi everyone, Is anyone interested in another SOP swap? I've read through a lot of excellent critiques, yet I'm a bit hesitant to post my statement online. I greatly appreciate your help, and will definitely return the editing favor with frightening enthusiasm. Anyway, I feel like I've edited it beyond recognition, and the whole thing is now meaningless. Questions: is the whole thing just a bunch of cliches and idealistic rhetoric? Is it painful to read through to the end? :-? Also, not sure about using so much space to talk about objective ideas, trends, processes, etc. PM me if interested, thank you for helping me hold on to the last shred of my sanity!

After months of tweaking my portfolio, aligning type, deleting/replacing images, researching printing companies, and all around obsessing, I finally picked up the final product yesterday. Five beautifully-printed and bound material embodiments of my hopes and dreams. ::sigh:: Suddenly I realized that on one page of every portfolio in an image description, two words are cut off at the end of a sentence - making the whole statement meaningless. Should I: a) Do nothing, and hope that the adcomms don't notice it (it is, after all, basically an extended caption) Type the missing words, cut them out, and paste them on to each page c) Re-print all of the portfolios - and not eat for two weeks
