Me too! I will be in the UEP program. So excited!
  2. Hello, I am going to be paying for graduate school myself and have not dealt with student loans until now. How much do grad students (single, no kids) usually take out in loans after covering tuition and fees? I have a good amount saved up and think that I can use the "extra" loan money to cover rent and health insurance, while using my savings for everything else (food, travel, personal). Is this what other people in my situation do? Thanks!
  3. Hi, I was accepted to the Heller School's Master of Social Policy program. I'm deciding between Brandeis and Tufts (Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy). I've heard great things about the program, but am not sure about the location since I do not want to take my car and don't want to be stuck away from all the action in Boston (I'm from a big city). But I don't want location to greatly impact my decision... What other schools are you deciding on?
  4. FYI Called the Mills MPP program today and they expect to mail out decisions the week of April 5th.
  5. I received my acceptance email on Monday! Does anyone know when financial awards notifications go out? My email said "Information about fellowships and financial aid will be forthcoming within the next week," but we all know how next week can turn in several weeks.
  6. I got my acceptance letter yesterday! They sent it via FedEx- interesting.
  7. It is good to know I am not the only one anxious to get admissions decisions back! Has anyone heard from Milano at The New School in NYC or from Mills College in Oakland, Ca? Has anyone even heard about Mills as I have not seen one post about it? My MPP application status: Accepted: Univ Michigan, Tufts, Brandeis, UMass Amherst Waitlisted: George Washington Rejected: none Waiting to Hear from: The New School, NYU, Mills Thanks!
  8. Hello fellow do-gooders! I am narrowing down my list of MPP programs to apply to and am trying to find some that have more of a interdisciplinary approach (nonprofit, management, urban policy, etc.) and not exceptionally heavy on the quantitative side. Current list: NYU Wagner The New School William and Mary Carnegie Mellon Any thoughts on this list or other programs? Much appreciated!
