I just took the GRE last monday. And I got 540 V and 650 M. My undergrad GPA was a 3.1. But I got it a Georgetown. Yeah, its not terribly impressive but it was the best that I could do. And I honestly don't plan to take that test again. I'm looking to gather a realistic range graduate public policy programs that offer a strong international development background. On the plus side, I have worked for three years and spent the last year interning in South Africa and Nigeria. Please pass along your suggestions.

I'm looking at cost as a major factor in where I put in an application for grad school. Yeah, I'm cheap. I admit it. I am not against going to a good school. But look if its excessively priced, I'm not sure if it is a realistic option. I'd like to know if anyone out there knows of a generous MPP program. Any school that gives out a lot of TA positions or grants?

I'm looking at a program in public policy that won't break the bank. I'd love to go to Columbia. But the high cost of living is out of this world. If anyone knows of a grad program that is generous with its TA positions or general grants please let me know.

To all.... I'm still in the research phase of my application process. And the cost of this degree is weighting heavily on my mind. If anyone out there knows of a generous graduate MPP/MPA program, please let me know. I would prefer the program to be in DC. But I'm not married to the city. In fact, I really don't like DC. The networking opp are pushing me towards DC. Also, I know Princeton has a lot of money. But let's be honest, we can't all get into Princeton. I'm looking at a places similar to GWU's status. Your help is really appreciated.
