I have a quick question about interview scheduling. So I'm set to interview at GSK from Jan 14-16, then Columbia from the 16-19. Since they're both in NYC, I figured I would only need to buy 2 tickets: one on Jan 14 and one on Jan 19 when I leave. I spoke with GSK and they said that they'd pay for both the Jan 14 and 19 ticket, even though the interview ends on the 16. I want to contact Columbia now and tell them that I don't need to have my travel tickets reimbursed. Do I need to give a specific reason? Or should I just tell them that it's already been reimbursed by GSK? I'm not sure what would be best, and I don't want to sound misleading to them...

From the results page, it looks like most Princeton QCB invites last year went out in early January, but it appears as though 2 people have been invited to QCB this December. I applied to Molecular Biology and got a phone invite last Tuesday. So I'm not sure if they've sent out all MolBio invites, but looks like they've started to at least...

Which Princeton program did you apply to? Biology@Princeton or something more specific?

Looks like only 1 person on the Results Page so far has posted a Yale micro invite. If I were you, I would give the office a quick call and ask them whether all invites have been sent! Here's the number I found for the Yale BBS micro track: 203-737-1087. Good luck!

Not sure about Chicago U GGSB, but I know that Columbia Integrated CMBS has sent out at least some invites

Congrats to you too! I'm not sure when I'm planning on going, but it'll probably be Feb 6-9. Since I work in Boston I don't really need to make travel arrangements, so it should be a little easier to plan...

Harvard BBS interview invite this morning Now I can actually breathe again...

My email specifically mentioned the Cancer Biology Graduate Program. But I wouldn't worry too much... the website says that graduate faculty are involved in eight different research areas, including Developmental Biology. Because of their affiliation with Memorial Cancer Center and their large focus on cancer in research, they might have just named the program that. I'm sure that during the interview you'll be able to gauge how many labs aren't strictly cancer bio labs.

I got a call from them on Tuesday and got invited to the January 31st interview weekend. I would imagine that they're probably still sending out invites, since they're calling instead of emailing...

From the results page, it looks like someone called the Harvard BBS office, and they said that all interview invites will go out this Saturday, Dec 21st. Good luck everyone!

Hey ERR_Alpha, I posted the Dartmouth MCB offer. I got the email this morning from a professor inviting me to interview. I submitted my app on Dec 1st. Hope this helps!

About the Harvard BBS interview invite... I spoke with one of the members on the admissions committee, and they said that they don't send out invites this year until late December, so I'm pretty skeptical.

Alright, I'll look through the 2013 thread. I submitted mine Wednesday night (11/27), and got an email the next morning from the admissions director inviting me for an interview. Very surprised! But he said that the committee hadn't gone through any applications yet, so I'm not sure when they officially start.

Does anyone know the interview weekends for Sloan-Kettering? I got an interview invite for Johns Hopkins BCMB (Jan 23-25), but I wasn't sure whether that would overlap with GSK visiting weekends (if I end up getting an interview there). I checked the GSK website but there doesn't seem to be any info on it there. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! I emailed them a few days ago and they haven't got back to me yet. I'm going to try calling them on Monday if I don't hear back before then.

Hey everyone, I'm applying for the GSK program but can't submit my application. The site says that they're currently having problems with the payment section, but they're working on it. I'm super worried because the application is due Sunday, and their office won't be open until after the deadline. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking that they might extend the deadline a day, or allow me to submit it on Monday.
