Thanks! Congratulations to everyone on all the good news! No word from George Washington today, but i did get a call from UNC Charlotte saying i'm on the very top of their waitlist. Two waitlists, one acceptance, one rejection. Hoping for an acceptance to a good school tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing when MKS gets off the PSU waitlist

All PhD except Roosevelt is a MA

Just found out i've been wait listed at UCONN Rejected at LSU (they never got my transcript- how can an undergrad institution screw up so bad?) Accepted at Roosevelt University in Chicago Havent heard from: Ohio University George Washington Clemson Harvard NC State UNC Charlotte Old Dominion Akron Looks like i'm a real bubble candidate. OU said they would have all letters out by the end of February... bad news i haven't heard anything yet? Anyone else hear from any of those schools? Or want to decline an offer at UCONN for that matter

Thanks for the reassurance! References are solid. Two are research advisors, one of which has good connections at a couple programs, the other is my mentor and chair of the psych department. Next week?! Ahhhh!!!

I'm coming right from undergrad and didn't apply to any masters programs and am starting to make myself nervous. 1200 GRE's 3 publications, and a 3.8GPA... Should i start finding some masters programs?

Thank you all for your awesome advice!! I'm looking into all those schools too. I'm hoping to head somewhere a little more sunny for a few years after growing up in VT and doing undergrad in MA. But if i were lucky enough to get into Penn State or Michigan it would be hard to turn down. Next step is contacting faculty members. How do they typically respond to emails from potential students?

Hey All, I'm new and trying to get a feel for schools that i should apply to and what i should expect from them. It seems that timing is just as important as credentials. I'm hoping my 3.9gpa, 1350gre, and 4 publications (i'm only primary author on 2 though and only one is in I/O) are enough to get me into an elite school. Also i'm considering deferring acceptance to next year. I'm looking for a Ph.D program with emphasis on scientific research and leadership as it affects arousal and indirectly performance. I also need a very good assistantship package... Any school suggestions? I like clemson, NC state, uconn, so far...
