  1. I applied to graduate programs- and all require applicants to report all colleges they've attended, even if only one class was taken. The issue is that at one community college, due to a mistake on my part, I was given an F in a class I never attended, because I did not realize I never dropped it. I never received credit, it was an extra class I never needed in the first place. I have reported all colleges and universities I've attended and received credit at or have had transfer courses from. I did not report the college I had that "F" at because I never received transfer credit from that school and it would be a waste of time to explain away an F for a class I never attended. Do universities and/or application service sites see this and thus not process the application? I would hate to be automatically rejected for such a pointless thing.
  2. I applied to a grad program, and in a rush, forgot to add my complete academic history-- I did not mention a community college I took a couple classes at (this info. shows up on my main undergraduate university transcript). I already e-submitted the application, along with attachments of transcripts from other institutions. Is there a way to contact the graduate admissions and have them add the info. regarding the college name and allow me to submit my transcript, even though the application was already submitted? I hope so!
  3. Hi all, I have a B.A. in International Relations, and after much soul searching, realized that I really want to pursue a career in psychology. Ideally, I would like to complete bachelor's level prerequisites in psychology, prior to applying to a masters program. I live in the Los Angeles area, and am not sure if there are post-bacchalaureate psych programs in California (ideally, southern california) that I could enroll in. Any information? Thoughts are much appreciated!
  4. I took the GRE today and scored 147 Quantitative (I was hoping to get at least 150) and 158 Verbal. I think I will do well on writing. I'm worried that the quantitative score will look really bad- I'm applying to masters programs in speech pathology, which factor both scores (though I think verbal is weighed more heavily). Are my scores so bad? I'm concerned bc programs are competitive...
  5. Thanks, problem solved!
  6. Hi all, I recently helped my supervisor electronically submit a rec letter on my behalf--there were two components: a form for spaces for name, institution, position, and contact info., as well as a rating scale for various areas of competency (I.e, interpersonal skills, work ethic, oral/written language skills, etc.), and then a space to write or copy/paste a rec letter. Once we hit submit, I realized we had left the blank for "Institution/ Organization" (that she works for) blank, although we did write down the organization name (it's a preschool) right under her name below the signature part where you'd write sincerely, so and so... If that makes sense. We can't go back and change anything because the forms have been submitted. I am concerned that the missing info. will be looked at suspiciously, and the letter will be dismissed because we did not specify exactly where she works...though that info is right below the actual letter. It was an honest mistake and the only one we made, so I hope it's really not a big deal at all. Any thoughts?
