  1. I suppose my best chances are just sticking with my current university.
  2. Long term dream is very difficult. I like practically every topic and am relatively balanced. But since I brought up CS, I'll stick with that. I would love to do a little but of data analytics work and perhaps adjunct teach. But I want to study data analytics from a CS perspective. Most of all, I would like to research demographic data in communities. One paper I was reading was just about analyzing high school drop outs and patterns that the normal human observer may not have seen.
  3. So I currently attend a public university and am majoring in an Information Technology:Software Development program. I'm 25. I have minors in Computer Science and Mathematics. I have about 180 semester hours (over the course of roughly 8 years) with a 3.01. I did really poorly my first few years of school, which is when I took most of my minor classes. However, I have taken both upper level computer science and math classes since then and have received ~3.5 in those. I will also have been working full time (not intern or co op, actual full time) for 4 years (as a Systems Administrator) at the time I begin graduate school. My gpa in my last 60 hours is a 3.8 or so. I had planned on doing just Business Analytics at my public university for a graduate program. But then I began to wonder if it was possible to go into Computer Science. My CS undergrad gpa (not including IT programming classes) is around a 2.7 or 2.8. My GRE scores : QR:159, V: 156, AW: 5 No research experience, 4 years full time work experience while attending school. Can someone recommend me out on what types of schools should be applying to? Or should I just stick with my public university graduate program and move on with my life. On one hand, I don't want to just apply to random places and waste money. On the other hand, I don't want to pass up something that I could have done. Thank you.
