To everyone who got their notification today, congratulations! May I inquire whether it was for the MPAff or MGPS program? I'm waiting for the latter and have no status change as of yet.

rhodeislander, I know this is The Question always asked, but what pushed Fletcher to the top of your list? I see you got a substantial 1st year offer from SAIS, which as of now is probably my #1 (if I get in). I will need/want to continue building on my language skills. As far as I know, Fletcher allows for students to take not-for-credit language classes at Tufts -- do you have any more perspective/information on this? To be clear, I'd say I'd just need another semester or two to be competent for the required language examination. Any feedback's appreciated!

@bktz, if you Google "SAIS Bologna Analytical Essay" two examples pop right up. That being said, they weren't exactly a lot of help IMO. They are very dry, financial sector responses that are a world away from what I'm writing about both in content and form. My essay doesn't specifically mention career interests or really even solutions, but it does relate directly to certain experiences and interests mentioned in my SOP. It reads like an Economist article -- provides context and why it matters, and what it portends for the future.

As far as I can tell from their academic calendar, last day of exams is Wednesday, and they have previously stated they try to get them out by the end of term. I agree with terrapin, they must have received more than usual. My best guess is by Wednesday.

I suppose I was thinking they would release them before classes finish, which is next Thursday, because they have students and professors on the AdCom. It is funny, of course, that these are the exact same trepidations expressed in years prior. I used to live in Korea -- so yes, you are in the future, and will find out sooner than us in the States!

Thought I'd finally commit to this site and start a thread for Fletcher EN. Going off previous years, early notification decisions seem to land on the second Friday of December, which would be this Friday. I haven't heard anything from them, which I suppose makes sense. Anyone out there counting down the hours as well?
