Just got an interview invite for UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Houston. Visit date is February 20-22, conflicts with Denver so I may have to choose between one or the other.

I haven't found any post-interview acceptance rates published anywhere, care to enlighten me/us? All I've seen are # applied, # offers, and # matriculants.

Does anyone have any more advice about prepping for interviews? I'm the only one from my friend group applying so I'm a bit lost. I work in a lab full of postdocs who don't remember much from their graduate school interviews (many of them are international and didn't even interview). Also, ditto on the iPad, would that be considered pretentious?

What are some tips for guys in terms of interview apparel? Shirt, tie, slacks? How about for events like a broadway play (sloan kettering), etc? Should we wear/bring a suit for these? Thanks!

Quick question to anyone that got a Sloan Kettering interview email, did your email mention cancer biology Phd? My SOP and research interests are in Developmental Biology, and I applied to GSK because they have several faculty that work in developmental neuroscience. I assumed the PhD program was more general. I guess my question is, is Cancer Biology the only program that they offer or does my email have an error. I think my interests/goals would put me at a disadvantage in terms of acceptance if the program were strictly cancer biology.
