I'm pretty nervous since I am a CSD major at Pitt, but I got a two Bs last spring and that hurt my GPA so now I have like a 3.6 something in major and out. Applied to LIU-Brooklyn, Adelphi, Temple, Pitt, West Chester University and Bloomsburg University I have kind of a bad feeling about Adelphi since I saw people have heard back from them already. Luckily they weren't my top choice but I am pretty nervous about not getting into anything since I don't know what my next step after that would be.

I'm applying to University of Pittsburgh, Penn State, Temple University, West Chester University, Bloomsburg University, Long Island University Brooklyn and Adelphi. My current issue is that some of my transcripts and materials don't appear to have been processed or went to the wrong place or something.

I seem to be one of the few East Coasters on this forum. I am having a lot of frustration right now with LIU Brooklyn because their admissions process was really hard to understand, different than the other schools, and I didn't realize till the last moment they wanted the third recommendation to be a *personal* recommendation so that messed me up. And now for some reason they didn't get my transcript for my one community college class. Not to mention I just had to send a correction in to Pitt because I accidentally left off an article ("a") on my personal statement that neither I nor my mom caught in reviewing it. So stressful.

I'm sure they will count the latest score more than the earlier ones.

Well, I finally got my transcript in on Wednesday, so hopefully I will be fine on verification. I haven't heard from them yet about it. Unfortunately, CSDCAS was only for three of my seven schools so the complexity was extra annoying.

Make sure you add the coursework 'in progress'. Dunno if you sent in your transcript with or without the fall grades, but pick whichever semester isn't represented.

Your GPA isn't really the worst. Your experience sounds good. How is you CSD major and GRE scores? Remember you only have so much space. Focus on your strengths instead of your failures and remember the CSDCAS limit is 5,500 characters and you have to mention specific things about each school you like and something about your personal characteristics that would make you a good student and practitioner. I'd use "nonverbal" in reference to the first boy instead of mute.

Is anyone else worried about their verification time on CSDCAS? I hadn't noticed how long it took them to process transcripts and I waited way too long to send my one transcript (just for one class, but they don't start until you get it). It sent about three days before the month before date. I got my two apps completed a month before, but now am anxious until this stupid last transcript gets in. Both my schools are "orange" deadlines, but it doesn't ship until it's verified, right? I know it doesn't always take a month to process, but I don't know what would complicate it. Wish they could start with the transcript they have. It has every class except for one.

OK, I got someone. She said CSDCAS was preferred and they probably have it earlier so that everyone's applications get in.

Does anyone know whether CSDCAS or the Adelphi website are the preferred place to apply to Adelphi? I called them, but I got voicemail. CSDCAS lists the Adelphi deadline as a month before when Adelphi lists their deadline, also.

Yeah, I wish I would have doublechecked the time the application was due during operating hours. I think I'm probably safe waiting a little later tomorrow to send everything in, though because i haven't found anything on csdcas that indicates the portal would shut down at a time other than the ones listed under the designated program section.

I am very confused because there seems to be a conflict between CSDCAS and one of the school's I am applying for's website. The University of Pittsburgh says "Your application MUST be in the “Verified” status with CSDCAS by January 15, 2014. This means your application needs to be "Completed" no later than December 15, 2013. The CSDCAS portal will close on this date and no additional applications will be accepted". But CSDCAS lists it as an orange deadline school with a deadline of Jan 15, 11:59pm. So when is the portal closing?
