  1. Congrats on your acceptances gbunny. How did USC notify you that you were on the waitlist? You didn't have an interview with them at all?
  2. UCLA rejection this morning too.... I guess next year I will have to broaden my school choices. Only applying to three schools probably didn't help me very much.
  3. So maybe we have a few more days before the rejections (or hopefully acceptances!) are sent out. I haven't heard of anyone receiving a rejection yet for either school.
  4. Has anyone heard from USC or UCLA yet? Geez they are taking forever.....
  5. Thanks for the heads up! Have you heard anything from UCLA yet?
  6. Does anyone know if UCLA offers acceptance without phone interviews? When I visited the school for an info session the advisor said they didn't do interviews. It seems like people have gotten contacted for phone interviews though...
  7. Thanks for the advice everyone! I really appreciate it. Man this process is grueling....
  8. Thanks for your insight bannedinbc and kafralal! I think my biggest issue is that I have 6-7 separate series of several images each, so in order to show all of the images in my portfolio I would need to upload almost 55 individual images. Since each school allows only a maximum of 20 images, I have to choose between uploading only 2-3 images from each series or figuring out some way to show all the images from the series in one frame and then uploading individual images as details. I think the person who told me I should print and install them, said so for the purpose of showing the totality of each series in one image. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and how they resolved it for the application process?
  9. Hi Everyone! Are there any other MFA photography applicants out there? How are you uploading your images for the portfolio? Are you photographing printed and framed images (ex. from an exhibition) or just uploading digital files? I'm at a loss on how to upload my images. I have mostly digital files but someone told me that I should print, frame, install and then photograph all my work to show it installed. But then I went to the USC info session and they said to just upload the digital files....
